Why profit and cash differ
Why recorded cash is not the same as what the business earned.
The trading result is recorded income less business costs. Recorded cash is what the imported statements show. They often differ, and Struxra shows both. Neither is a final accounting profit: your accountant may make further adjustments, including non-cash items.
Money you put in or take out of the business changes cash without changing the trading result. Invoices and bills that have not been paid yet change what you are owed and what you owe, which affects cash in the weeks ahead.
In Struxra
Recorded cash is built from the statements you import. It reflects the records entered and is not a verified current bank balance. Imported activity does not prove the records are complete. Trading result is recorded income less business costs. Owner money is shown separately.
